正确认识患者接受放化疗耐受力的因素，老人病不是不合适放化疗的借口
第一节 科学认识老年人是否耐受化疗，别一念之差错过治疗良机后悔莫及
“我觉得老人家身体有很多病，耐受不了化疗”和“我觉得患者状态很好，癌症应该治好了”——这两种观念都是很普遍也是妨碍患者治疗的有害观念！
患者每次化疗前，医生都要做抽血做血常规、生化指标、肿瘤标志物指标化验检查，以排除患者不适合接受化疗的隐患，医生化疗前都要抽血查：1，肝功能，2，肾功能，3，血小板，4红细胞，5，白细胞五项指标。因为化疗药有很大的毒性，化疗时需要正常的肝肾功能把毒性代谢出体外，而血小板，（凝血功能）白细胞，（免疫功能）红细胞（是否贫血）是一个人身体素质的几个最关键的指标，也是患者身体素质是否可以接受化疗治疗的前提条件，化疗医生都会在患者每次化疗前把好这个关，也是化疗规程很重要的一环。
医生检查这5项指标合格，几乎所有（年龄接近80岁的老年患者除外）的患者都耐受也适合做化疗，而放化疗是患者术后辅助治疗不可或缺的一环，患者和家属不要因为患者有一些常见的老人病，就跟医生讨价还价患者的化疗强度、放疗强度的问题，或担心患者是否耐受得了化疗的副作用反应，其实，做好止吐止泻工作的化疗疗程，老年患者照样很轻松可以耐受，而不处理或处理不好患者上吐下泻反应的年轻患者，照样会苦不堪言；化疗副作用反应的辛苦不在于患者有什么老人病和年纪大一些，而在于医生、患者和家属有没有能不能处理好化疗期上吐下泻的副作用反应。
患者和家属忌讳化疗要求医生少做或者不做，应该做奥沙利铂化疗的，要求医生做口服化疗，医生迁就你少做化疗，冒复发转移风险的是患者，而不是医生！其实，肠癌患者40至60岁占90%以上，50至60岁占50%以上，谁都有这个那个的老人病，而这些病都不妨碍救命的化疗疗程的进行，医生在整个化疗疗程都密切的监控着患者的身体指标的变化，指标不合格你让医生做化疗医生也不让化疗。
患者和家属没有必要也不能够自作聪明、自我判断患者是否适合继续化疗，而打乱医生科学的治疗计划和疗程，而错过术后放化疗的治疗良机，后悔莫及。做群解答6年来见过无数的这类术后1-3年复发转移的病例，梳理患者各种治疗期的报告，询问患者整个治疗过程时，家属或患者因为所谓：“当初患者化疗上吐下泻反应太大，化疗一次之后就停止化疗了”“因为患者有高血压，有肝炎，怕受不了化疗就没有化疗了” “心疼老人家化疗太受罪，不想让她（他）化疗”“第一次化疗老人家上吐下泻之后，就拒绝化疗，老人家很固执”的原因不化疗或者停止化疗的病例不在少数。所以我专门另辟一章专门讨论有害的治疗观念问题。
第二节 不能够用患者身体的外在表现去判断患者的病情
“我觉得患者状态很好，癌症应该治好了”这种观念一样有害！
癌细胞不是一种病毒，也不是一种细菌，病因是这两者之一的，病情轻重会影响患者的身体和精神状态，也容易从外表判断病情；因为细菌和病毒性疾病一般都会影响到身体的其它的器官、令到患者发炎、发烧，对患者的身体状态和精神状态影响很大，家属很容易从患者的外在表现去相对正确的判断患者的病情是更严重了，还是有好转了。
但是，癌细胞它本来就是人身体的一部分，它本来就是人身体上正常的细胞异变、癌变了而已，它就像你家里的坏孩子，是你生你养的变坏了的孩子而已；它是患者身体上自己的细胞变异癌变了，它之所以是个致命的病，是它变异和癌变之后癌细胞快速裂变和超强的繁殖能力，和随着血管和淋巴管全身游走，转移到身体其它适合它生存和快速繁殖的重要器官上聚集繁殖，当癌细胞聚集到足以堵住重要器官的关键功能时，才是它致命一击的可怕之处。所以，肠癌从息肉生长到腺癌的过程长达10年，肺转的时间也长达2-5年，只要肿瘤不侵犯气管，结节再大患者都没有感觉，都不会咳嗽和呼吸问题，你不做影像检查根本发现不了它。要是是细菌或者病毒引起的肺部疾病通常会发炎，你不用做影像检查也可以发现它。
所以，你可以看到很多前几天还生龙活虎，很强壮的人，查出癌症晚晚期时，很快就走了，走得让人目瞪口呆难以置信，就是癌细胞已经堵住患者的要命的器官部位了！而科学治疗到疗程后期的患者，在手术之后化疗结束时的身体和精神状态是最差的，血指标和肾功能几乎都处于最低值或崩溃的临界点；但是患者已经完成了科学的治疗，患者身体没有癌细胞了，在癌症的复发转移风险来说，患者是初步治愈了，西医治疗结束患者只需要用中药调理好身体，患者就可以慢慢恢复过来了。所以，患者身体和精神状态好不等于癌症治愈了，患者的身体和精神状态差也不等于患者的病情恶化了。
而很多手术切不干净，或放化疗治疗不足的患者，复查出来的指标和影像结果不好，或者已经复发转移的人，你表面看起来，他生龙活虎的一点问题都看不出来，很多把核磁报告或者派特ct报告发到群里问病情的群友，听完初次确诊或复查报告分析之后经常会脱口而出说；“那不可能！患者一直身体非常好，不可能就进入晚期了”！那是身体的癌细胞和癌结节再多，只要不侵犯到有疼痛感觉的地方，或者不堵住要命的部位，患者一般是没有感觉的！像肠癌我们一般要等到它堵住了肠道，影响大便排出了，或者肿瘤表面已经破溃出血，产生痛感和出血了，患者才有感觉，才去做肠镜检查，不检查出来肠癌之前，个个都是健康人一个！——所以千万不要用患者的身体状态去判断患者的病情，那往往会得出完全相反的结论！
